A Dupe For The Clarisonic Mia?!?

5 in 1 Facial Cleansing Brush Set

Recently I was thinking of purchasing the Clarisonic Mia but I was in two minds beause as you may know it is quite expensive and there were a lot of negative reviews on the product. The reviews mainly said it caused breakouts after using it for a while, and because I do not tend to break out, this is the last thing I want.
I was looking online for similar dupes that I could try out to see if I liked, and then if I did I could invest in the real deal and I came across this 5 in 1 cleansing brush set. There was also a 7 in 1 cleansing and massaging set which came with two cleansing sponges and a few types of massaging heads. I decided to purchase the two as they both have different uses. The main body of the cleansers have two speeds. There is a high and a low speed and of course there is the ‘off’ option.
The first set, the cleansing set came with 5 separate heads. The first head is a sort of pumice stone material one and it looks as though it can be used for taking the cracked skin off your heels but it is actually for smoothing out your face and helps to minimise the appearance of pores. At first I was hesitant to use this head as I thought it may be too abrasive on the skin but it isn’t rough at all and even when using it on the high speed.
Secondly is the cosmetic sponge material head. This has a few uses and is one of the main heads in the set. One of the uses is to use it with your cleanser. The sponge is soft so it gives you a light clean and does not exfoliate the skin. Another use is to use it around the eye area. The reason for this is, it can help with dark circles and it provides circulation in the cheek bones and eye contour area. The last use is to use it as a cosmetic sponge! This is an amazing little device that allows for flawless make up application and it is very fast too.
The third head is the actual sponge head. The material of this is identical to that of a washing up sponge. This is also for cleansing the skin with and although it is very soft as it is a sponge, it does give you light exfoliation.
The fourth is the bristle face brush. This is the best head in my opinion as it really cleanses the skin and leaved your skin feeling super soft and supple. It does not feel rough on the skin at all and it cleans very well too.
The last head is a massager head. This is meant for massaging the skin after your face cleansing routine. It is not an amazing massager and I rarely use it but it is nice to have.
The second device comes with two of the cosmetic sponge heads. The rest of the heads are all massaging heads and can be used to massage the face and body. To be honest with you, I do not use these much but they can help to tone your arms and legs so I will use them and then report back and let you all know if they do!

Thank you for reading this and I hope it was useful!
You can find these devices on eBay and Amazon and they retail for around £10

Review: Maybelline New Matte Maker Mattifying Powder

Maybelline New Matte Maker

I recently purchased this new mattifying powder off of Asos in the shade 30 Natural Beige. I received the powder with quite a big chip in it which I wasn't too pleased about but I think that just happened whilst it was being shipped out to me. I'm hoping the chip does not mean it will soon all crumble, but in most cases this does seem to happen.

On to the powder, the powder itself is exceptionally good. It is perfect for the hot summer days when your face tends to get oily around the T-zone. The powder keeps your skin matte the whole day and it also helps your make up to last longer which is perfect because who has time to touch up, right?

This powder retails for £3.99 on the Asos website and can also be found in stores such as Boots and Superdrug.

I would give this product 4 stars our of 5 because I wish the lid was attached to the product instead of having to twist it off. It is not a 'problem' but when doing my make up in a hurry it's nicer to have products that open and close quicker.
