April Favourites 2014

April FAVES!

Hey guys! Today I have my favourites from the month of April to show you. I have quite a lot of favourites to talk about this month so I hope I don't bore you all! Grab some snacks whilst reading maybe. I have everything from make u to music favourites, so sit back and enjoy!

First off is a bit of a weird favourite. It is my new vanity mirror. Before this one I had another vanity style mirror, which was much prettier but wasn't the best for doing your make up in. This one is perfect as it also has a magnified side which is great for when I want to thread my eye brows. This mirror was a bargain at £3.99 and I purchased it from Poundstretcher. The only downside is you have to screw it all together which was a nuisance.

My next favourite has been my mineral powder foundation from ELF. This is a very high coverage powder that doesn't leave you looking cakey at all. It is very light weight and it feels as though I have nothing on my skin when wearing it. You only need the smallest amount for your whole face so it will last you a very long time.

My third favourite has been Mustard oil. I have started using mustard oil once a week now for three weeks and I have already started noticing a difference in my hair. Any oil that you put in your hair will benefit it as it provides nutrients for your hair and keeps it moisturised. I purchased this oil from a South Asian grocery shop for a few pounds. There are many types of oils you can use including castor, almond, olive and coconut. All can help to benefit your hair in many different ways. Since using the mustard oil I have noticed my hair has become extremely soft and it has stopped getting knotty. I have always had problems with my hair getting knotty in the wind and the oil has really helped to stop this.

Another favourite of mine is the Vitamin E face mist from The Body Shop. This is a very handy little product for keeping in your bag and refreshing your face throughout the day. I use this after finishing my make up application and it helps to keep my make up on all day. This costs £8 and is a brilliant dupe for the Urban Decay setting sprays.

I have recently started using the Benefit That Gal brightening face primer and I have been loving it so far. It really does make you look fresh and bright and I think it is the perfect primer for the Spring and Summer time. I received this in a pack with the full size Porefessional so I am unsure of the price of this, but you can find it at any Benefit counter.

I recently picked up MAC's Studio finish concealer in NC20 and I have really been enjoying using it so far. I was looking for the perfect concealer for a very long time and was recommended the studio finish from a lot of friends. I use this under my eyes and do not have a problem with it creasing at all. It is a full coverage concealer and is all around amazing.

I have absolutely been loving the orange lips trend this season and I seriously can not get enough of it! I love wearing my orange lipsticks when I have really bronzed up my skin as it just looks so gorgeous. I think i may even love orange lips than red! My three favourite orange lipsticks are MAC's So Chaud, Make U Revolution's Luscious and Mac's Morange. These three are the perfect orange's for me.

Bronzing up my skin has also been a must for me this season. I have been trying every bronzer under the sun and am always on the lookout for more. One of my favourites for this month has been the Bourjois chocolate bronzer. It is a very light bronzer so it doesn't make me look orange. It gives the perfect amount of glow and makes me look healthy and tan.

Another hair oil I have been trying out is the Brazilian Keratin oil treatment. I use a pea sized amount in my hair after washing it and I have noticed  has helped my ends from looking less dry. This is a very affordable oil and although it is tiny, you only need the smallest amount. I purchased this from Savers.

Daisy by Marc Jacobs has been my perfume favourite for this month. I just love the girly, floral scent to it and I think it is the perfect scent for the Spring and Summer. The bottle is gorgeous and it smells divine, so what more could you want?

FASHION FAVES!
My beauty favourite for the month has been these gorgeous sandals. I haven't even worn them yet so I don't even think it counts but I am seriously in love with them. They are just so pretty and I cannot wait to wear them. I am waiting for the right day, LOL. These cost me £24.99 and are from New Look.

RANDOM FAVES!

I have been collecting the Disney Kinder Eggs and have really been enjoying it! Surely I am not the only one? I am more excited about this than my two younger sisters which is slightly worrying. I just have one left to collect: Cinderella.. So if you have one, please send it my way ;)

FOOD FAVES!
My food favourite for the month is not a type of food, but a restaurant.. Nandos! I always hated Nandos but recently I have become a changed woman (haha) and have really been loving it. I have already been three times this month. I really love their mash, butterfly chicken and peri peri chips. Whenever I am in town I always want to eat somewhere that sells spicy food, preferably a curry or steak but I can never find anywhere that is halal, so Nandos has been the place I have been choosing to go to, way too often now!

MUSIC FAVES!

I have a lot of music favourites for this month, but I will name a few! Check them out on YouTube!!
PS: I don't like a specific genre, I will literally listen to anything.

(not necessarily new songs, just what I have been enjoying)
Fuse ODG - Antenna
Trey Songs - NaNa
Fuse ODG - Million Pound Girl
Arjun -  Chaiyya Chaiyya Super Bass remix
RD - Word On Road (old favourite)
Badman Forward Badman Pull Up
DJ Fresh - Gold Dust
Sam Smith - Money On My Mind
Drake - Crew Love

Thank you for reading this extremely long blog post! Hope you enjoyed it!
Take care xxx
