What's In My Bag?

What's In My Bag?

I always love watching 'What's in my bag' videos on YouTube so I decided i'd make a blog post on what I carry in my handbag. I recently got a new bag which I am in love with and have received tonnes on compliments on already. A handbag is something that is very personal to you and you'd be a little creeped out if someone went through your handbag in real life... But it's just so fun watching videos on it! Do you agree? If so, comment below!

Okay, so this is my handbag. As you can see if is fairly large which is great for me as I love to throw lots of things in there and my bag is always over flowing. I am showing you EVERYTHING in my bag and have not tidied it. The reason there is no mess is because I have only had it a few days. My bag is a beautiful burgundy colour. Burgundy is my absolute favourite colour at the moment and half of the clothes in my cupboard are burgundy at the moment!

Firstly in my handbag I obviously carry my purse. My purse has no cash in at the moment but has a LOT of cards in it. I use a small purse as the one I usually have in my bad was weighing my shoulder down! In my purse I have one out of three of my bank cards, a Costa card, a Starbucks card, a Library card, a Leisure card, a Superdrug card, Boots card, two Odeon cards, and a few extra loyalty cards.

Another thing I always have in my bag is my make up bag. In my make up bag I carry my two favourite lipsticks at the moment which are Wet N Wild's Sugar Plum Fairy and Milani's Best Red. I also carry a blush by Bourjois in the shade 48. I love this blush as it's small and comes with a brush so it saves space in my make up bag. I also have the Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade 10 and Elf pressed powder in sand. I never use these but keep them in there 'just incase'. I have a lip balm by Madre Bees which has a lovely pomegranate scent and a liquid liner too. I also keep a small flat top kabuki in my bag.

My three main necessities in my handbag are my hair brush, which I adore as it is so sparkly, my hand sanitiser which I cannot leave the house without and my soap and glory hand food hand cream.

As it's winter I also keep a pair of gloves in my bag which I rarely use but keep them in just incase. I have my university ID in my bag as I don't want to risk taking it out and losing it and I always use it for a discount at the cinema. I also have my keys, some sweets and gum. Lastly I have my glasses which I need for the cinema and university lectures.

That is all I keep in my bag. I have taken out a lot of random things I used to carry such as nail files and emergency kits as I just wasn't using them and they were unnecessary weight.

Comment below what you carry in your handbag!

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Review

Urban Decay's Naked Flushed

So for my sister's birthday this year I wanted to purchase her a few of the Naked palettes, and the Naked Flushed was obviously on the list. She loves to contour and highlight so I thought it would make a lovely gift.I ordered the Flushed online on the Debenhams website and when I went to collect it, I fell in love with the packaging so ended up picking up one for myself too.

The Review:

1. Packaging:
The packaging on the Flushed is beautiful. It looks so sleek and pretty. It is very small and compact so great for travel and come with a large mirror too which is always good. I would give the packaging a 5/5 as this is what made me pick one up for myself too.

2. Quality:
The outer packaging is extremely nice and high quality. It is sturdy and you can tell it is an expensive item but I am very unimpressed with the actual quality of the product. On the night I bought it, I had a loot at it and it was perfectly intact. The next morning I went to use it and there were little cracks in the highlight and blush. I was so upset and annoyed but there was nothing I could do. I was very surprised about this as I really didn't expect it to happen, especially because I handled and stored it very well. I would give the quality a 2/5 because I like the outer quality, I am just unimpressed with the actual product.

3. Price:
The price for this product is £20 which I think is very reasonable for Urban Decay, but because of the quality of the product, if  had known it would be basically rubbish I wouldn't pay more than £5 for it.

4. The Product:
The actual powder pigmentation is really good on the blush and highlight. The highlight is a very gorgeous colour and you only need the smallest amount. The same with the blush too, it is very pigmented. The bronzer is very light and not pigmented which can be good if you want it as a bronzer, but it is not so good for contouring with. I'm guessing this bronzer would only suit fair-medium skin tones as on darker skin I don't think it would show up. The highlight is very powdery. If you just swipe your finger on the highlight there is a lot of fallout which makes me think it is cheap and bad quality.

5. Overall:
I would maybe recommend this product to people who want their blush, highlight and bronzer in one small set, however I think you'd be better off going with the Sleek version. It is a nice product and the packaging is beautiful, but it is just not worth the money. Get yourself the Urban Decay Naked Basics instead!

The 7 deadly sins of beauty TAG

The 7 DEADLY Sins Of Beauty!

Just thought id do this tag as it looks super fun and interesting! Make sure to comment your deadly sins of beauty in the comments section below!

Let's jump straight in...

1. GREED: What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive beauty item?
My most inexpensive beauty items are the MUA £1 eyeshadows and lipsticks. I don't like the lipsticks that much but the eyeshadows are amazing! They are very pigmented and come in a variety of matte and shimmer shades. My most expensive is probably my Prada D'iris perfume which cost around £72

2. Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/ hate relationship with?
I definitely have a love/ hate relationship with nude lipsticks! They look so pretty in the tube but then I wear them and hate it on me. Sometimes I think they look good on me, other times they just wash me out. I only have a few nude lipsticks and still need to get used to them. I also have a love/ hate relationship with MAC's Studio Sculpt foundation. Sometimes it can make me look so flawless and other time I look very caked up!

3. Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products?
My most delicious are definitely my Lush lip scrubs! They taste and smell SO good. I always lick the scrub off after applying it. Soap and Glory's hand food also smells amazing! I would eat it.... Although I'm guessing it doesn't smell too good!

4. Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness all the time?
Eye creams and primers!

5. Pride: What beauty product gives you the most confidence?
Lipstick!

6. Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
I'm not quite sure how this related to beauty? But.. Physically, I like slim men. LOL. And a nice
stomach and face shape. What I look for in the opposite sex: Respectful, fun, loving and funny :)))

7. Envy: What item would you most like to receive as a present?
A lifetime supply of Prada D'iris .. And because that's pretty impossible I'll have to go with the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Thank you for reading, I hopr you enjoyed this post

My Top 10 Red Lip Products!

I LOVE red lips! I think red lips suits me more than any other colour; and it just gives me so much confidence. If I could only choose one make up product to wear, it would definitely be lipstick! It just completes an outfit. The right shade of red looks perfect on all skin tones and red lips also looks so classy. I wear red lips all year round so I decided to choose my top 10 red lip products from my extremely big collection. Most of these are super affordable and can be easily found at your local drugstore.

Here are a few of my favourite red lip products. I have also added swatches for you. If you would like any more information on the products please comment below although I will try my hardest to write everything I know! :)

(I have lost the picture with all the lipsticks, so have just uploaded the glosses :') )

MUA - Scarlett Siren

1 - MUA Matte Lipstick in Scarlett Siren. The matte range from MUA was released this year and has been sought after by many! It is usually sold out in stores and online so I was very lucky to get the whole collection when they first released. I wasn't too impressed with the other 4, but this one is lovely! And for £1 only you cannot go wrong at all! Scarlett Siren is a true red that looks the same on the lips as it does in the tube. This is a factor I really like as I have tried many lipsticks that look amazing in the tube and fail to impress on the lips. Te lipstick applies very nicely and glides across my lips. It does not feel dry at all. It feels pretty creamy which I didn't expect as it is a matte shade. The lipstick does not look cheap on the lips at all and what I really enjoy is; as it starts to wear off, it does not look patchy.

Opaqueness: 4/5
Lasting Power: 3/5
Price: 5/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 3/5

MAC - Ruby Woo

2. The famous Ruby Woo by MAC. I have never come across a person that dislikes Ruby Woo! It is the perfect red that suits every skin tone. Whether you're super fair or very tan. This is my all time favourite lipstick and one of the best products I have ever purchased. This lipstick makes my teeth look very white which is a bonus. There is one problem with this lipstick and this is the drying factor. It makes my lips very dry and it is my only MAC lipstick that does so. The lipstick has a Retro Matte finish and is just such a beautiful colour. This lipstick lasts super long as it is very opaque and you only need to apply a little. I think this red suits me the most out of all the reds and it looks beautiful with a neutral eye. The lipstick has bluish undertones so is perfect for pale girls. For £15 it is a little expensive, but definitely worth the money. If you are looking for the 'perfect' red this is the one to go for.
Opaqueness: 5/5
Lasting Power: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Quality: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5

Barry M - 158

This lipstick is a very wearable red. It is perfect for those who are not completely comfortable in wearing bright colours on the lips as it is not very pigmented. The lipstick leaves a nice sheer  colour on your lips so is perfect for every day wear. The lasting power on this lipstick isn't amazing but still lasts a few hours. The lipstick does not make my lips dry at all and it feels nice and moisturising.

Opaqueness: 2/5
Lasting Power: 3/5
Price: 4/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 4/5

NYX - Snow White

Snow White is a gorgeous vampy red colour. It is perfect for Autumn-Winter and it looks great on most skin tones. I personally prefer this more on paler skin tones. The lipstick is semi-matte but very creamy. The lipstick is super opaque and long lasting which is amazing for the price. This retails for under £4 which is such a bargain! I like the packaging on the NYX round lipsticks as you can see the colour on the bottom of the tube which is helpful when they are stored in my lipstick holders.

Opaqueness: 5/5
Lasting Power: 4/5
Price: 5/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 4/5

Maybelline - Pleasure Me Red

If you want a blood red lipstick with a blue undertone this is the perfect lipstick for you! The creamy moisturising texture of these is to die for and they feel so good on the lips throughout the day. These are easy to remove with make up wipes and I never find that they leave patches on my lips or stick on the 'dry' bits. The packaging on the lipstick is pretty and classic although it is a little on the big side so can take up a bit of space in my small make up bag.

Opaqueness: 4/5
Lasting Power: 4/5
Price: 4/5
Quality: 5/5
Packaging: 4/5

YSL Rouge Pur Couture - Shade 9

I really like these glossy stains by YSL and I think the packaging is beautiful. The packaging looks very classy and expensive and I adore the gold. The pigmentation on the gloss is excellent and really lasts all day. Because it is a stain it just stays on the lips for hours. It is a perfect true red colour and you can build up the opaqueness on it. This is on the expensive side but we all have to treat ourselves once in a while ;)

Opaqueness: 4/5
Lasting Power: 5/5
Price: 2/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 5/5

Rimmel Apocalips - Big Bang

The Rimmel apocalips range were a huge hit when they released and I love every single one of them. They are super opaque and literally last hours! They are a gloss that dries to a lipstick and have a beautiful velvety look to them. These do not dry my lips out at all.

Opaqueness: 5/5
Lasting Power: 5/5
Price: 4/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 3/5

Helen E - Shade 22

This is a gorgeous red lipgloss that is super opaque and long lasting. It is pretty sticky which is a down side to the product and because of this I do not reach for it often. I think the packaging is horrible and for £15 I expect something a lot nicer! This is a lipgloss that can be worn alone which I like.

Opaqueness: 4/5
Lasting Power: 3/5
Price: 2/5
Quality: 3/5
Packaging: 1/5

MUA Luxe - Atomic

This was another huge hit from MUA! People went crazy for these and every time I check out the MUA website they are sold out. I very luckily found mine in Superdrug and they only had a few left. These are very similar to the Lime Crime Velveteens which are a LOT more costly so this is a perfect dupe. This lasts through everything I am telling you! You can eat, drink, lick your lips etc with this and it will stay put! Only after a few hours will you notice the colour wearing off towards the centre of your lips. They are very easy to apply and the packaging is amazing! They could easily pass for a high end product and I would honestly pay up to £15 for this product.

Opaqueness: 5/5
Lasting Power: 5/5
Price: 5/5
Quality: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5

Rimmel Apocalips - Stellar

Last but not least is Stellar by Rimmel. This is another one of the Apocalips and again an amazing product! The colour is a lovely coral red and it is very opaque. I definitely recommend these. They have a wide range of colours, so if red isn't for you, you should definitely try another colour from the range.

Opaqueness: 5/5
Lasting Power: 5/5
Price: 4/5
Quality: 4/5
Packaging: 3/5

Get To Know Me TAG

Get To Know Me!

Hey Guys! So I wanted to do this tag as I have gained an extra 300 followers on Instagram in the past week! I can't explain how thankful I am to you all. This tag will help you guys learn more about me hopefully ;D I know I don't have loads of followers but I still appreciate you all so much. I love make and beauty up and have always been inspired by make up accounts on Instagram. I feel so over whelmed that you guys love my account and make up posts too. I enjoy writing reviews on products and finding good make up deals so I am happy that you guys like it too! Because my Instagram account isn't personal and I do not write much about me on it; this tag will be perfect.

I wasn't tagged to do this, and I found the questions on my beautiful friend's blog. You should check her out as she is amazing. www.lifelongpercussion.blogpsot.com xxx

So, let's begin...

1. Are you named after anyone?
Well, my mum wanted to name me Sylina, but my grandmother didn't like the name and wanted to call me something more Islamic. I was born on a holy day (Friday, 10th Muharram) so my grandmother wanted to call me Zara. My mum loved the name too so that's what they named me. Sylina is one of my middle names.

2. When was the last time you cried?
I don't cry all that often. I mainly cry when I'm angry LOL. But, I did cry a little when I watched Catching Fire. Haha! There is nothing wrong with crying though. It is good to cry, it shows you are a human with a heart :)

3. Do you have kids?
No, but I want kids when I am married..

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I've never thought about this before! I think I would be a friend of myself. I tend to get along with everyone and I am not a horrible friend.. why not ;)

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
I'm not a very sarcastic person. I'm mostly sarcastic with my sisters. But that's normal I think..

6. Will you ever bungee-jump?
I went on a bungee-jump for my 12th birthday and almost had a heart attack.. It just felt so scary and not secure. But I would love to do it now. Forget a bungee-jump, I want to jump out of a plane!

7. What's your favourite cereal?
I can ONLY eat chocolate cereals. I cannot stand non chocolate cereals as they get soggy and bleurgh. I also love the chocolate-y milk. My favourite cereal has to be Coco Pops mixed with the Lucky Charms marshmallows. It's delicious! Try it!

8. What's the first thing you notice about people?
I tend to notice people's hair, shoes and hands

9. What is your eye colour?
Brown..

10. Scary movie or happy endings?
Both! But scary movies are my favourite and are what I always search for first on Netflix

11. Favourite Smells?
Prada D'iris is my all time favourite scent. It's perfection. I also love the smell of Mac lipsticks, Yankee Candle in Clean Cotton and almost all of the special non-alcoholic Islamic perfumes that come in little roller ball bottles :)

12. Summer or winter?
Summer! I hate the cold with a passion

13. Computer or television?
I don't particularly like any. I watch the television whenever I'm bored and rarely use my computer. I much prefer my phone and iPad. So much easier.

14. What's the furthest you've ever been from home?
I'd say my 'home country' but that is basically home.. So I guess Turkey is the furthest :)

15. Do you have any special talents?
I don't have any special talents :( although I do do a lot of DIY stuff for my bedroom.

16. Where were you born?
Birmingham.. I grew up thinking I was born in a tree (this is what my family told me as I looked like a little koala bear

17. What are your hobbies?
I like making stuff, scrap booking, shopping OF COURSE, playing with make up, boxing..

18. Do you have any pets?
Not any more.. My last pet a budgie Snowy was given to my mums friend because it pooed everywhere when ever we let it out to fly..

19. Favourite movie?
I have more than one.. Taken, The Hunger Games, 21 Jump Street, The Twilight Series and KKKG :)

20. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, four sisters and a brother

21. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a teacher, and a mother

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation Review

Can I just start off by saying WOW. ELF have really impressed me with this product! I purchased this foundation on a whim thinking i'd dislike it but i needed £60 worth of products in my cart for a discount so decided to add it in. The foundation is definitely my favourite out of all the ones I own, and believe me, I have a lot! I have foundations from MAC to Bourjois to Illamasque to L'Oreal and this has out shined them all! It is the perfect shade for my skin too which is an added bonus.

This foundation retails for just £6! It is such a bargain. I don't know of any other brands that have such an affordable foundation that is actually amazing. I have tried MUA foundations and have really disliked them. After trying the ELF Studio Tinted Mousturiser and really disliking it, I didn't have high expectations for the foundation. I can honestly say I am sold and I hate to say this but, this is probably going to be the only foundation i repurchase from now on. I am that impressed! And I am someone who loves to try out so many foundations.  My other foundations are going to feel very lonely now! LOL. I have never loved a foundation so much. With all the other foundations I own I can pick out a fault with it. Whether it is not the right shade, or it is the wrong undertone or the lasting power isn't that good, I always manage to find a fault. With this foundation I cannot even find a single fault with it! I haven't owned this foundation for very long nor have I been using it for months, so who know, i might begin to hate it after a while, but for now it is my stay product of the month.

The foundation blends flawlessly. It just looks so good on my skin. I have the shade Sand (The second lightest I believe) and it is the perfect shade for my skin tone. My skin looks flawless with this foundation and even if I accidentally pump out too much product it does not look cakey at all. With most of my other foundations, especially ones from MAC I have to be really careful with how much product I use as it can look cakey. With this one, it still looks flawless as it blends with such ease. I don't have problematic skin so I cannot say if it covers acne or scars very well, but it does leave my skin looking very flawless so I am guessing it would cover spots/ hyper pigmentation etc. What i really like about this foundation is it does not settle in to my pores. I have a few pores around my cheeks and it does not make them stand out. This foundation lasts all day on me which is what everyone wants in a foundation. I have never touched up my foundation throughout the day, nor do I ever want to so this is obviously a must for me.

The foundation comes in quite a few shades which I think is excellent as ELF are catering for many different skin tones. At such an affordable price you would not expect this.

I think the packaging of the foundation is very sleek. It looks a lot more expensive than what it is. It comes in a frosted glass bottle with a plastic lid and pump. A lot people dislike glass bottles as they think they are too heavy to travel with and can smash; I personally love it. I think it makes the product look expensive and sleek.

I definitely recommend for you to all try out this foundation. It is such a bargain and a wonderful product. Let me know what you think of this foundation in the comments section below. Do you love or hate this foundation? Is this your holy grail product or is it the worst foundation you have ever tried? I would love to know! :)

Here are some photos..

This is the foundation bottle. I think the packaging is so lovely and classy. I love foundation bottles with this packaging. I really dislike tubes and packaging with colour as I think it looks cheap and tacky. The bottle is 30ml and as you can see from the bottle has SPF 15 which is awesome! Haha, yes I have just spotted that is has SPF 15.

As you can see in the photo the left arm with the foundation looks more brighter and has a healthy tanned look. The right arm is more pale and doesn't have the glowy look like the left.

Hope you liked my review, Take care guys! xxxxx

Aztec Indian Healing Clay Mask Review

I purchased this face mask a few weeks ago and a lot of people were interested in it and wanted a review so I have decided to write one. I have used this mask three times since I purchased it and so far I am in love!

The clay comes in a huge pot (1 pound) full of powder (which you turn into a paste) and can definitely last you for around two years, depending on how much you use. I use half a tablespoon for my whole face and neck. The tub retails around £10-15 and can be purchased online on Amazon or eBay. It is very easy to get hold of online; but I have not yet seen it in any stores in the UK.

The clay has many properties. It can be used as a face mask to heal acne and to brighten and beautify the skin. This is what I use it for. I do not have acne, but I like my skin to look flawless which is why I was searching for the 'perfect' face mask. Other uses for the clay are: body wraps, foot soaks, insect bites etc.

How to make and apply the mask:
Grab yourself a small bowl, a spoon for mixing, a brush to apply and some measuring spoons. You will also need some water or what i prefer to use: Apple Cider Vinegar. Use equal parts of both the ingredients (I use 1 tbsp of each) and mix into a nice paste that isn't too watery or thick. With your clean brush, apply evenly all over the skin and neck. Use a generous layer.

The mask in action..
Once you have applied the mask and it has started to dry you will notice your face has become very tight and as it dries more you can barely speak or move your face. It is pretty uncomfortable at first, but if you just sit still and relax you won't feel the tightness. What you will feel though is the 'pulsating'. The feeling comes after around 6-8 minutes and can be very uncomfortable. Your skin will feel extremely tight and can also sting a little. It is not affecting your skin in any way and this is normal. If you cannot bear pain at all I wouldn't recommend this mask to you, but in all honesty; it's not that bad.The pulsating feeling is the result of blood rushing to your face, which is a very GOOD thing. I personally think that makes the mask special as I believe it is really working on my skin. I keep the mask on for 15-20 minutes and when it is time to take it off I use a small wash cloth. I soak it in hot water and apply it to my face to moisten the dry mask. This really helps to remove the mask and it wipes away very easily. When you first remove the mask it can be painful as it drags your skin, but with the hot wash cloth it is much easier.

The result:

I have only used the mask three times, so I haven't noticed a huge difference to the appearance of my skin but there has definitely been a few differences. My skin type is normal, so I am not dry or oily; however sometimes after a long day my face can become a little oily. After using this mask I have noticed this has completely vanished and I no longer see any shine on my skin. My foundation now lasts much longer than before too. I suffer from visible pores on my cheeks on either side of my nose and have noticed they have gone a lot smaller. I have always hated my pores and they are the only real problem with my skin so I am thrilled they have reduced in size. I use Benefit's Porefessional to erase my pores but after using the clay I barely have to use any at all.
I thought my skin would feel super dry after using the mask because of how much it tightens on the skin and was surprised to find my skin actually felt very soft. I still used a good moisturiser afterward to lock in the moisture and keep my skin feeling supple. I 100% recommend this mask to anyone with breakouts, oily, problem prone and even normal skin. I promise you will love the mask and for such a large amount the price is awesome!

(Don't get frightened :P)

Comment if you have used this mask and let me know what you think xxx
