My Everyday Skincare Routine

Skincare Routine

Hey guys! I wanted to do a skincare routine as I always get a lot of questions about how I keep my skin so clear (MashaAllah)
My routine is so simple and I don't really use anything expensive. I basically use anything that is in my bathroom and whenever I need a new moisturiser, cleanser, toner or mask I look for whatever is the cheapest - I'm not fussed as long as the brand is one I have heard of.

Morning

Cleanser:
For my cleanser I really do not worry too much about what I am using. I do not have sensitive skin and my skin type is normal so the type of cleanser I use is not a big issue for me. Cleansing your skin is very important. Throughout the day your skin becomes full of dirt and dust and you will need to cleanse it all away or risk breaking out in spots. It is also extremely important to cleanse in the mornings too to remove any excess dirt and to help your skin feel clean and refreshed. I think the worst thing a person can do is skip cleansing. If you wear make up especially, using a make up wipe is just not enough in my opinion. Your face will not be totally clean by just using a wipe and they should never be used instead of water. First use a wipe then follow on with a cleanser and water. Some of my favourite cleansers are the No7 Beautiful Skin cleanser, Simple foaming cleanser, Neutrogena Grapefruit Cleanser, Clean and Clear Morning Burst cleanser, Lush Let The Good Times Roll cleanser and the Olay Total Effects Premium cleanser.

Exfoliator:
I exfoliate around three to four times a week to remove any dead skin cells and dirt from my skin. Exfoliating is very important as it uncloggs pores, and clogged pores lead to breakouts. Depending on your skin type, you should decide what type of exfoliator is best for you. If you have very sensitive skin you should use an exfoliator that is less abrasive on the skin. Do not over exfoliate your skin however as this can also cause breakouts. My favourite exfoliators are the Lush Ocean Salt exfoliator, L'Oreal's Perfect Clean scrub, Neutrogena Visibly Exfolating Wash and the St. Ives Apricot scrub. You can also make your own scrub at home using either lemon, sugar and honey or apple cider vinegar, baking soda and honey. These are very mousturising and exfoliating natural scrubs and make your skin feel smooth and bright.

Toner:
There are mixed opinions on the use of toners as some people believe they are just a money making gimmick and others believe they are essential to restoring your skins Ph balance. I like to use a toner, especially in the night as they really get rid of any left over make up or dirt. The two toners I use are the Clinique clarifying toner and the Simple Soothing Facial toner.

Eye cream:
For the mornings I like to use an eye cream that is going to help keep my under eye area bright. The ones I like to use are the Garnier under eye brightening roller and the brightening cream.

Moisturiser:
My all time favourite face moisturiser that I was using for a very long time was the Simple Anti Blemish moistiriser. I think this product really made my skin very clear and stopped me from gettimg any spots. This product costs less than £5 and I recommend it to all my friends because it is amazing. At the moment I am using the No7 Beautiful Skin day cream but as soon as it finished I will repurchase my Simple one.

Make Up Removal

Eye make up removal:
Removing your eye make up is very important a it stops your eyes from feeling heavy and prevents from getting dark circles. I do not advise removing your eye make up with an all over face wipe as it can be harsh on the eye area and you do not want to rub your eyes as they are extremely sensitive. The eye make up remover I am using at the moment is the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Cleansing Water. This is an awesome dupe for Bioderma. You only need to put a little onto a coton pad and apply the pad to your eyes for a few seconds then wipe away. This is perfect for your eyes as it is not harsh at all and you are not rubbing at your eyes.

Face make up removal:
I use a make up wipe to remove my face make up then I will go on to cleansing my face as usual. I use Simple face wipes and even the make up wipes from Primark as they are super cheap and do he job.

Night Routine

Cleanser:
At the moment I have been using my No7 Beautiful Skin cleanser and then 1-2 times a week I will use my Lush Let The Good Times Roll cleanser. I also use the No7 Beautiful Skin Deep Pore Purifier  once a week (If I remember) as it is great for unclogging your pores and reduces the size of them.

Exfoliator:
Same as morning

Mask:
I use face masks one or twice a week and the one I am using at the moment is the Aztec Indian Healing Clay mask. This is an amazing face mask and I have a full review of it on my blog if you are interested in purchasing it. I also use the No7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Mask.

Eye Cream:
The eye cream I use at night is the Benefit Its Potent eye cream as it is very moisturising and helps to keep my under eyes moisturised throughout the night. I also use the Simple Eye Roll On as it is very cooling and feels good under the eyes when it is late and I am tired.

Moisturiser:
I have been using the Simple night cream every night for a while now and I enjoy using it as it is very thick so is super moisturising.

That is my complete skin care routing. It seems like so much but it really isn't! I have just mentioned a lot of products, I do not use every single one of course! Who used 3-4 cleansers at once? LOL! My skin care routine is very affordable and is perfect for younger people as you don't want to spend too much on skin care when you're young and it helps to keep my skin clean and spot free!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed the long post! Comment below what your favourite products are at the moment and share your skin care routine with me as I would love to know!

Take Care xxxxxx
